The world that surrounds us gives us plenty to do with our time. Extra minutes (and effort) is required from all of us as we go forward from day to day. Constant training is expected to keep the workforce up-to-date, while still working 10 to 12 hour days…five to six days a week. This leaves us little time to pursue personal interests…Sunday is the day we can stay in bed a little later, then wake up and relax. It is very easy to believe in God, but make a rash decision that extra rest is more important than gathering with true believers and attending church.
The fast-paced world we live in is specifically designed to keep us from having extra time. Instead of sitting somewhere quietly and opening our heart (and senses) to pursue a personal relationship with the Lord, we turn on the television, or some sort of secular music, or be found constantly talking on a cell phone, or we are focused on monitoring a hand-held communication device…just in case another person is attempting to contact you. All of these new-age devices are keeping us from looking within ourselves; the end result being distractions that lead us away from God.
You may be a pastor, minister, bible teacher, a devout Christian. You may have been a believer for many years but yet you still struggle with sin. Unfortunately some believers have even questioned someone’s salvation or even their own because of sin in their life. The struggle with sin is something that all believers in Christ must deal with. The apostle Paul had this same struggle, and in scripture tells us why this struggle is, and how to overcome the sin nature.

There is no time more uplifting than Thanksgiving Dinner followed by the time leading up to Christmas Day. Despite the failing economy of our country, and the seeming indifference that seems to thrive in Washington D.C., the American people seem to have found a lost unity that once belonged to our nation.
Selfish and greedy attitudes are being left by the wayside as the American public is now beginning to stand up for the right to work, eat, and have a safe place to live. No longer are the youth of our country willing to stand quietly by as the price of education is preventing the common man from receiving the skills from our prized schools and universities.
Churches are receiving countless donations of both food and money to help the poor and homeless survive for at least one more day, while offering every individual the chance to receive Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the personal Savior of mankind.
Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer : their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
Here we have the heartbeat of God who is love. The Apostle John writing by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit is revealing the desire of God for His people.
2 Tim 3:16-17
(16) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
(17) That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
2 Peter 1:20-21
(20) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
(21) For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
