What is The Reason?

Galatians 6:7

Do not be deceived; God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows from sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

I’ve gotten very skeptical about the stimulus plan that is going to be signed on Feb 17th by President Obama. There is a huge mixed-message that has been sent to the American public, and no one (including the U.S. Gov’t) has done anything to stop this credit card debacle that has just been unleashed on the American Public.

There appears to be some veiled, yet powerful people who are sowing seeds of economic destruction for this nation. They are plotting despicable deeds with full intention that these deeds lead to misery and hardship for many citizens of the U.S. They seek to gain economic benefits from their actions with little or no regard for the lives of the less fortunate.

Some of our large credit card companies have just sent out letters that are informing many of us that they have just increased our annual credit card rates. Increases that I have personally heard of were anywhere from 5% annually to 13% annually. Not only are annual rates being raised, expected monthly payments have jumped from 2% to 5%. (If you normally pay $100 a month on a credit card, the payment would now be $250 per month.)

Now let’s return to the Government backed stimulus plan. Is this just lousy timing, or is the credit card increases simply a new way to send more of the public running to file bankruptcy and lose their homes due to foreclosures? What is the message being sent to us by this action? My gut feeling is that I can’t understand why the U.S. Government would allow this action to take place just as the stimulus package is being passed??? Nothing good can come out of this action, and yet no one even mentions a word as to how detrimental this could be to the U.S. economy. We now have millions more of our general public having to make due with much less than the month prior to this. Surely this is not a method to stimulate spending. In fact, it may be one of the largest consumer spending deterrents since the $4 a gallon price at the gas pumps. If gas rises to that level again, I’m going to be a witness to the worst living conditions in the U.S. since well before I was born. It appears to me that only the rich are going to economically survive this phase of American history, and it seems to me that this whole situation was caused by the very same group of people that created this mess: the wealthy class! My biggest concern is what underlying agendas may be at work as this plan to bankrupt the working public is being implemented before our very eyes.

Psalms 46: 1-3

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

Does this sound like tsunamis, hurricanes, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions to you? It sure sounds like that to me. The same events we have been told to watch for just before the second coming of Christ! God is telling us not to fear what we see changing in nature, so why should we be afraid of what man has planned? As we grow wiser in God, we learn to have more and more trust in his Word!

Time for a Revival

Has anyone else noticed (besides yours truly) how people drift away from the church and the Bible when times are going good? Has anyone else noticed that when times are getting tough, people start looking to God for help and begin reading the Word and praying again?

Despite all the stress and turmoil that is taking of the entire planet Earth, I see a move by Americans back to the church. Isn’t it interesting how invincible we seem to think we are when we want to take charge, and refuse the help that God offers us? Then, panic sets in when we realize that we never were actually in charge of the events in our personal lives. Whether we are rich or poor economically, we can always be rich spiritually when we read the Bible and have a personal relationship with the Almighty. How blessed we really are that God is always looking out for us and ready to scoop us up and strengthen us when we are falling. Hard times teach us that the ONLY thing we can count on in life is God’s love for us.

A personal experience with God is an event that will make you understand beyond a shadow of a doubt that God does exist, and he does have the power of creation. I will not choose between or try to separate out the good and the bad concerning different religions. I will simply say this: If God is reaching out to you and revealing himself in such a way that you cannot deny his existence or his power, only then you have found that pathway to Him. This is a personal road that we travel! No one else can find God for you, for you must find Him for yourself.

I know that I found God through Jesus! According to what I have learned in the Holy Bible, this is exactly what is supposed to happen. I can only assume that the Christian Bible is revealing the truth to me. I also know that scripture states:

Jesus said, “No man comes to the Father but by me.”

Since this event has proven truthful to me, I must assume that I have located the pathway provided for man to reach God.

If your ‘pathway’ has provided to you a similar experience, I must assume that somehow your are accessing God, but still going through his high priest to get to God; that high priest must be Jesus.

Please contact me if you have reached the Almighty with ‘another path’. I would be interested in hearing exactly what you did to achieve this communion with God.

Know Your Heart

posted by admin in Christian Lesson, 09 February 2009

Mark 7: 18-23:Are you so dull?” “Don’t you know that nothing that enters a man from the outside can make him ‘unclean’? For it doesn’t go into his heart but into his stomach and then out of his body”. (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods ‘clean’.) He went on: “What comes out of a man is what makes him ‘unclean’. For from within, out of men’s hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and make a man ‘unclean’.”

While reading this passage I felt the need to express what I seem to have to interact with every day; the uncleanness that exists in everyone. Newspapers, radio, and television try to take advantage of the ‘unclean thoughts’ that people have and use these thoughts to manipulate us for their particular purpose. No matter what the motive is, we are constantly bombarded with ‘unclean activities’ taking place everyday in every person’s life. I am terrified! How do I protect myself from seeing and hearing the ‘unclean thoughts’ that bombard me whatever I do and wherever I go? These very thoughts grab hold of all of us and make everyone of us susceptible to the sin that accompanies these acts.

Whether we like it or not, when the sinful words come out of our mouths, it is evidence of our own ‘unclean’ hearts. This shows how sinful each one of us are. Thank God that he allows us to pray in the name of our mediator between man and God…JESUS!

The moment we seek forgiveness from God in the name of Jesus, our sins are forgiven. We have once again opened the door of communication between you and God. Sin separates us from God. Sin places an invisible wall between us and the Almighty God. He can’t hear our prayers when we are living in sin. I believe that this is why so many people think that God doesn’t respond to their prayers.

The most devastating effect of having an ‘unclean’ heart is that if we don’t deal with the problem, we are traveling the road taken by most. When we choose not to accept the path prepared by God, we have already chosen the path Satan has designed for the fallen. Why do so many of us think that we can choose whether we want to believe in God? God still exists whether we choose to believe in him or not. Is mankind so foolish that he thinks he can ignore God and that he is allowed to do as he pleases? It has become clear to me that most people who deny the existence of God and deny that the Holy Bible is the Word of God have not read the Bible. How foolish to never take the time to explore the hidden secrets that can be personally revealed to you by studying the Word of God.

2 Corinthians 5: 7

We live by faith, not by sight!

John 20: 29

Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet believed.”

Are you one of those who have to see something with your own eyes before believing? If so, you probably lack having trust in your judgment skills. God has promised to reveal himself to those who read his word and faithfully follow his plan for man. The positive human traits will be coming out of your mouth when they are deeply embedded within your heart. These traits are called the ‘fruit of the Holy Spirit’.

Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

How many of these traits do you faithfully exhibit in you daily interaction with others? Are your actions genuine or fake? You may be good at fooling others, but God knows all! Isn’t it a blessing to know that God can never be fooled?

Imagine This Feature Video

Many of us want to believe that we follow the rules taught to us by our church leaders. We think of the Ten Commandments and we remember the two commandments that Jesus gave to us. These two commandments encompass the 10 Commandments found in the Old Testament, given directly to Moses and etched into stone tablets.

  1. Love the Lord thy God with all your heart.
  2. Love thy neighbor as you would love thyself.

Please be aware the possibility exists that God is able to ‘videotape’ our entire life; starting with our birth and ending with our death. He is also able to record not only the words that come out of our mouth (Remember: whatever comes out of our mouth is what is in our heart) but God is also capable of recording all of our thoughts and feelings.

I want you to take a moment and consider all the times you may have lied, stolen, and have taken advantage of someone for your personal benefit. Remember how you even thought to yourself that no one ever has to know about this??? How about when you did something wrong and then blamed the deed on someone else? Can you think of a time when you stole money or items from a store and actually thought you got away with your action when you weren’t caught? Surprise…you were caught doing all of these things. You were caught on God’s own version of the hidden camera show.

Take a moment and think about how many of these acts you have actually committed in your life. Can you even keep a count on how many lies you have told? Do you still remember how hard you try to forget about these things and hope no one ever finds out? Did you ever think to yourself that it might be impossible for you to stop doing these types of actions?

Imagine standing before God on your judgment day and finding out (after you have passed away) that every single word, thought and action connected to you has been recorded. Since life on earth is considered to be a blink of an eye when compared to how long eternity lasts, you join in with all the saints to view your personal video…from beginning to end. I’m telling you that this is one video that no one wants to watch. Do you think that after the video is finished that you can tell God that you are innocent of sin and should be admitted to heaven?

(That would be one more lie added to your long resume of lies!)

How much would you pay to have this video destroyed? Well, Jesus has already paid the bill to have this video destroyed. All you have to do is:

Romans 10: 9-11

That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”

This is the only way that shameful video will be destroyed forever, and never be remembered by anyone. God not only forgives our sin when we ask, but he also forgets all of our sinful ways. As human beings, we do have the ability to forgive, but how many of us can forget when someone has wronged us?

This is for the skeptics! There are those of you who think it’s worth the chance to keep doing whatever we please and there is no such thing as ‘Judgment Day’! When we die, (and everyone does) suppose we never get to come back and live a ‘clean life’. Is it worth the risk?

Suppose the odds of ‘Judgment Day’ are the same odds as the Florida Lottery (1 in 22,957,480). It seems to me that lots of people are always ready to take this chance…what if you were wrong and were unable to repair the damage already done by you….is it worth the risk?????????

If this message has touched your heart, please read out loud the ‘Sinner’s Prayer’ written below.

 Dear Lord,

I am asking that Jesus (your only begotten son) come into my heart and become the center of my life. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I am asking for you to grant forgiveness to me. I thank you for caring about me and offering me eternal life through this simple act of faith. I love you God and I believe in your plan for my salvation. In Jesus’ name I pray!

Amen
